Hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) are the most effective UV stabilizers for polyolefins and engineering plastics. Unlike UV absorbers, HALS work by scavenging free radicals generated during photo-oxidation — providing long-term, regenerative protection that doesn’t deplete over time.
